Technical Session 2.2 - Accessibility and Mobility in Rural Areas

The objective of the session will be to present firstly the results of the activities of TC2.2 during the cycle 2020-2023 through the three working groups, the case studies of rural mobility in certain countries across different continents (Africa, Europe, America and Asia).
The maintenance aspect of rural roads will also be addressed.
This session will also present the best articles identified through PIARC’s international call for papers on call topics “Challenges and solutions for rural roads”.
Through the articles presented, a sharing of experience and best practices will be identified for the needs of some developing countries to improve aspects related to mobility in rural areas in their respective countries.
